If you’re looking for extra care and support for yourself, a friend or family member, you can be confident that a home in a Summerset village may well be the right choice for you. Our villages are designed so that, as your needs change we have different levels of support and care (subject to availability and eligibility criteria) within the village. We call this our continuum of care.
Range of care options
Most of our villages offer care from support services through to Ministry of Health certified rest-home care, hospital-level care and respite care.
Ease of transfer
Residents have priority of transfer to the care centre subject to availability and eligibility criteria.
24/7 call bell
Onsite care staff and a call bell system throughout all homes means help is just the push of a button away — 24/7.
Dementia friendly
Proudly accredited by Alzheimer’s New Zealand as a Dementia Friendly Organisation across all of Summerset.

Resident centred, friendly, professional staff focused on delivering the highest quality care.

Summerset residents receive priority access to the range of care options detailed below – subject to availability and eligibility criteria. Please note care offerings may vary between villages.
Rest home care
With our rest home-level care you will be looked after by our friendly and professional team of caregivers with the oversight of registered nurses. They will look after your daily personal care, help with cleaning and washing and provide all meals. There is a range of great facilities and activities to get involved in. Rest home care is generally available in a serviced apartment or in our care centre with a range of room options.

Support and Services
We provide services and packages to help maintain your independence, so you can get on with enjoying village life.
Choose from a long list of household services and chores; such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking, through to personal care and support.
We can tailor services to suit you, as a one-off, or enjoy them on a regular basis. Or choose from our Care Packages designed to make life a bit easier and keep you enjoying your independence.
Available in our independent living homes or serviced apartments.
Memory care
Our Memory Care Centre provides modern apartment style living with innovative design to create a world-class environment for people living with dementia.
Coupled with our resident centric philosophy to improve the lives of people living with dementia our residents enjoy a welcoming atmosphere designed specifically for them.
Our generous apartments offer open-plan living in a secure facility, with a separate double bedroom and large ensuite.
