What day-to-day support will I get?
Your support covers the practical essentials that take the burden out of running a home, like freshly prepared meals, housekeeping, and laundry. Because everyone’s routine is different, these services are bundled into flexible packages. The level of your needs determines the package best suited to your lifestyle, with the option to add additional services if you need them. Please note that maintaining a standard service package is a requirement of living in our serviced apartments.
How much does it cost to live in a serviced apartment?
When you first move into an assisted living serviced apartment, you pay a deposit and licence payment upfront. When you are living in the village you pay a regular weekly fee, and your required care or service package. Personal expenses like your private phone or internet are managed separately. Our team will walk you through the pricing transparently so you feel entirely clear about what is included.
Can I have visitors and bring my own belongings?
Yes, of course. This is your private space, and you bring your own furniture and belongings to make your apartment feel like home. Your family and friends can visit whenever you like, join you for meals and enjoy time with you in the village.
Will I still be independent?
Moving into a serviced apartment is about gaining support, not losing your independence. You choose your own schedule, can cook light meals in your kitchenette if you feel like it, and spend your time exactly how you please. Assisted living means our team manage the background chores in your service package, so you can focus on what’s important.
What if I move in and realise a serviced apartment is not for me?
We want you to feel entirely confident with your decision, which is why we offer a 90-day money-back guarantee called the Summerset Sure Guarantee. If you decide within the first 90 days that village life isn't the right fit, we will refund your licence payment without deducting the standard Deferred Management Fee (DMF). Some conditions apply.
What happens if my needs change?
One of the benefits of a serviced apartment is the continuum of care available within many Summerset villages. If your needs change over time, your service package will be adjusted to suit. In many villages, rest home-level care can generally be provided in a serviced apartment, subject to certification, availability, eligibility and your individual care needs.
