For almost 30 years, Summerset has been guided by a deep respect for residents and the philosophy of creating villages and homes that you’d be proud to live in. From our first village in Whanganui in 1997 to 40 villages across New Zealand today, we create welcoming environments where residents can enjoy life now, with confidence for the future.
These awards reflect the pride our teams take in providing the best possible service. Ensuring every resident experience is delivered by a friendly, dedicated and caring team who feel like family. We’re also committed to continual improvement, regularly surveying residents to ensure we deliver the quality services and facilities that matter most to them.
NZ's Best Award winner and multi-finalist
We were thrilled to be voted a multi-finalist and winner at the 2026 NZ’s Best Seniors New Zealand Awards by Summerset residents, families and staff. More than 5,180 in-depth reviews of retirement villages and aged care facilities were submitted through Seniors New Zealand's Aged Advisor service for the awards.
