Celebrating Frontliner Day 2023

Friday 24 March was a special day for all of us here at Summerset. It was our annual Frontliner Day – a day where we recognise and celebrate all our hardworking teams across our 35 villages nationwide.

A big Thank You to all who took the time to celebrate our frontliners.

What is a frontliner?

A frontliner is anyone who works in our village and interacts with Summerset residents – our caregivers, nurses, diversional and recreational therapists, office staff, property and gardening teams, activities coordinators, kitchen staff, housekeepers and those working in our laundries.

This year, to say thank you, our frontliners enjoyed a shared brunch on us! Summerset partnered with Foodstuffs to send food deliveries out to our villages containing yummy treats and healthy food.

At each village we also made a Gratitude Wall, to share heartfelt messages of thanks from residents and their families with our frontliners. We’ve provided photos from the day below.

Members of our Executive and Operations Leadership Team also put their hands up to be ‘frontliners for a day’. The team took on different roles that ranged from caregiving to being a property assistant and kaitiaki. The day was a resounding success and a great way for us to bring together members of our team from across the company. 

We wouldn’t be Summerset without our village staff!
