In July 2015, Summerset purchased a 2.3 hectare site next to the Auckland Domain, in Parnell, Auckland as the proposed site for a new retirement village.

In September 2020, Summerset applied to Auckland Council for resource consent. We are following due process before commencing with the development of this village and intend to apply for registration of this Village under the Retirement Villages Act 2013.

Facilities & activities

Once the village is complete, residents will have access to a range of community facilities.

Our villages are built for their environment and generally include the facilities below. Our on-site Activities Coordinator will also ensure there's always a calendar of events that cater to a wide range of resident interests and activities.

Once developed, this Summerset village will offer continuum of care from one-off services through to secure dementia care in our industry-leading and Ministry of Health certified memory care centre. Village residents will have priority access to our care, subject to availability.
