Relax with meditation 

It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete meditation novice or a seasoned pro, it’s never too late to give it a try. And you don’t have to be a hippie or sit cross-legged and chant to reap the relaxation benefits! 

Here are some popular free apps to get you started just go to the Apple App Store or Google Play search for the apps and download 

  • Headspace – great basics for the meditation beginner 

  • Insight timer – a huge collection of guided meditations and talks, and used by more than 7 million people worldwide! 

  • Elevate – a brain training app with a range of exercises designed to sharpen the mind 


Try yoga 

You don’t need any fancy equipment to have a go at yoga, just some stretchy pants and an open mind! Always go at your own pace and don’t push yourself too hard if you’re a beginner. Feeling a slight muscle stretch is often a good thing, but if something feels sore, give that move a miss.

Tai chi for body and soul 

Gentle, relaxing moves are great for busting stress and adding exercise into your day. YouTube is a good place to start for simple videos that explain the basics.

Pilates
