In September 2020, Summerset purchased land to build its ninth retirement village in Auckland and its first in the East Auckland area. The 2.8ha site is located off Thurston Place and is close to the Half Moon Bay Marina.

When complete, living options available will range from independent living and serviced apartments, to a care centre providing both rest home and hospital level care. It will also contain Summerset's industry-leading memory care centre for people living with dementia.

Once the village is complete, residents will have access to a range of community facilities.

Our villages are built for their environment and generally include the facilities below. Our on-site Activities Coordinator will also ensure there's always a calendar of events that cater to a wide range of resident interests and activities.

Levels of care

Once developed, this Summerset village will offer continuum of care from one-off services through to secure dementia care in our industry-leading and Ministry of Health certified memory care centre. Village residents will have priority access to our care, subject to availability and eligibility criteria.
