Summerset Connect presents: Sir Richard Hadlee
19 November 2019
Sir Richard Hadlee is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading fast bowlers and allrounders in cricket. He held the world record for the most test wickets in 1988 when he beat Ian Botham’s previous record of 373 wickets. In 1990 he became the first bowler in test history to capture 400 test wickets.
Hear Sir Richard’s stories from his amazing career and life. He played test cricket for New Zealand for 18 years and holds three bowling world records. He was named New Zealand Sportsman of the Year in 1980 and 1986 and knighted for services to cricket in 1990 while still playing the game.
Sir Richard (Paddles to his team mates) is respected throughout the world for his cricketing abilities and dedication to the game. More recently he has overcome a few serious health issues. He brings all his life experience together and can’t wait to share his stories. Witty and motivational, he’s one not to be missed.
