OUR STORY
Summerset's business was founded by John O'Sullivan in 1994 in the Kapiti and Horowhenua regions. In 1997, the first 14 Retirement Units and an aged care hospital were built in Wanganui and the strategy of providing a full range of aged care services and living options for residents was first implemented. Since then, prudent management has enabled Summerset to steadily grow its Village footprint.
Summerset's customers are everyday New Zealanders. They have values we all share at Summerset - respect, hardworking, genuine, family focussed, community volunteers and willing to lend a hand.
At Summerset with our integrated village offering we can provide choices to our customers whatever point they may be in the decision making process. No matter what stage this my fundamentally be our customers are looking for a place with people like them, respect with freedom from worry, and above all else a sense of certainty about the years ahead. For us the key word here is "certainty", whose echo is to be found in the phrase "Summerset Sure".
